Neven opens the series by paying a visit to Waterford Castle and head chef Michael Quinn, who prepares leg of lamb steaks. Back in his kitchen, Neven makes air-dried beef carpaccio with roasted beetroot and mustard cream, and the MacNean cheesecake with raspberries and white chocolate.

In the premiere episode, George prepares family-inspired comfort foods, including mac-and-cheese, grilled pork sliders with crisp quick slaw, and double-chocolate brownies for dessert. George stops by a community-operated organic farm in Amagansett Long Island, where families support growing seasonal produce. Later, he visits the chef from Town Line BBQ who shares the secret of low-and-slow cooking.

Vernon and what it takes to care for this versatile herb. Allen also looks at Mt. Vernon’s abundance of Fig trees that grow on the estate and shares his delicious fig preserve recipe. He also shares tomato planting tips from his farm and we learn how to plant sweet potato vine.

Charlestown Project
The Charlestown project features the renovation of an 1850 Greek Revival Rowhouse. The modest red brick rowhouse needs extensive masonry and structural reinforcement. An enlarged dormer out front and a small bump out in the back will make room for new living spaces that will preserve the old-house feel while adding amenities for modern living. Crumbling retaining walls, a 1980s kitchen, a broken down and leaking master shower, inefficient windows, and old heating system and failing roof will all be upgraded.
