PBS KIDS Writers Contest

WSKG hosts local PBS KIDS Writers Contest

The PBS KIDS Writers Contest is a contest designed to promote the advancement of children's reading skills through hands-on, active learning.  The Contest encourages children in grades K-3 in communities across the country to celebrate the power of creating stories and illustrations by submitting their own original pieces.  The Contest extends the powerful tradition and annual success of the national "Reading Rainbow Young Writers and Illustrators Contest."

Local judges recently reviewed the 2014 entries and we are pleased to announce the contest winners.  All children who participated will be recognized with a certificate and prize via mail.  Thank you to everyone who shared their creativity with us - congratulations on your hard work!
