Diversity: Celebrating Our Uniqueness

This workshop focuses on teaching respect for each individual by celebrating our differences.  PBS video clips and online PBS media will be used to promote tolerance and emphasize how we can promote positive resolutions to bias.

Healthy Habits

Explore the ways children can learn about the importance of exercise, hygiene, nutrition, and rest & relaxation through the use of PBS video clips and interactive PBS websites.  Participants will become familiar with ways to utilize PBS content to promote the healthy development of children.

In this workshop we'll explore various PBS websites relevant to your classroom instruction with major focus on VITAL NY - an online library of digital multimedia resources featuring dynamic video and interactive content - all fully aligned to the NYS Learning Standards.

STEM: Science, Technology, Engineering and Math

Let WSKG share our many STEM-related resources with you.  From PBS programming such as Sid the Science Kid to interactive websites to hands-on activities this workshop will provide you with innovative ideas for your science lessons!  This workshop is geared toward the K-5 curriculum.  Our STEM Workshops are generously supported by Corning Incorporated Foundation.
