An estimated 25 million Americans are blind or have impaired vision. Vision loss is more feared than cancer, heart disease, stroke and other diseases – a fear that is compounded by a lack of understanding of how to live with vision loss or blindness. There are many resources available for those dealing with vision loss, however, even though only a small percentage of those who suffer vision loss take advantage of these resources.
