According to the New York Times, Governor Cuomo will use his executive powers to allow a limited number of hospitals around the state to dispense medical marijuana to patients with cancer and other conditions. We discuss the issue with one of the legislature’s strongest advocates for legalization, Staten Island Democrat, Senator Diane Savino.
Since a judge upheld a majority of the provisions in the Governor’s Safe Act, advocates for the 2nd Amendment have renewed their efforts to repeal the law. NY2A and its affiliates are planning a series of forums over the next several months “to help educate NY citizens about how to avoid registering their lawfully possessed firearms”.
