Expressions features musicians from in and around the Southern Tier of New York State. Performances touch the breadth and depth of performance in our communities, from jazz singers to classical soloists, from acoustic guitarists to folk bands. On June 6th, we'll air three of our favorite classical episodes (below).

John Covelli, piano

John Covelli is Conductor Laureate of the Binghamton Philharmonic Orchestra and founding Conductor of the Belleayre Festival Orchestra. Currently he is Music Director and Conductor of The International Repertory Orchestra, Music Director of A Company for Chamber Opera, Artistic Director of Kaleidoscope Concert Productions and serves on the Advisory Board of Goodwill Theatre, Inc., while fulfilling engagements as guest conductor, solo pianist, master teacher and chamber player.
John performed at the WSKG Studios in June 2011.
Anastasia Rizikov, piano

Anastasia Rizikov was born in Toronto, Canada. She is a remarkably talented 12-year-old pianist. Anastasia studies with an award-winning piano teacher Maia Spis, who has a Masters in Music Education from Ukraine and currently teaches at the Nadia Music Academy in Toronto.
Anastasia performed at the WSKG Studios in September 2011.
Steven Nanni, tenor and Pej Reitz, piano
June 6th at 10:00pm
Steven L. Nanni is a fast-rising world class bel canto tenor who displays an extraordinary voice in opera, oratorio and song literature. Steven recently debuted as Beppe in Leoncavallo’s Pagliacci, and as Tamino in Mozart’s Die Zauberflote in Washington, D.C.
