Natural gas drilling poses a unique problem for government officials, especially those who work on the local level. Crystal Sarakas spoke with Pamela Mischen, director of the Center for Applied Community Research and Development at Binghamton University, about the challenges local governments face in dealing with this issue.

Dr. Mischen presented her work at a recent Binghamton University "Conversations in the Disciplines" conference on fracking. You can view archived video of the conference here.
