Candidates for Broome County Executive faced off in a spirited debate on the campus of Broome Community College. Incumbent Republican Debra Preston and Democratic Party nominee Tarik Abdelazim exchanged views on gas drilling, economic development, the closure of the Willow Point Nursing Home, and more.

The debate was sponsored by the League of Women Voters of Broome County, Broome Community College, and WSKG Public Broadcasting.
