VESTAL, N.Y. (AP) - An upstate New York call center says it's adding 300 jobs to handle new business from financial services and utility clients.
The Binghamton Press and Sun-Bulletin reports that Nationwide Credit Inc. is expanding its operation in the Broome County town of Vestal, where it already employs about 400 people.
The company is already hiring for the positions, which federal statistics show pay from $30,000 to $34,000 in the Binghamton area.
Two weeks ago, a company that runs an auto insurance call center employing 225 people in the same plaza said it will shut down by March 2014.
NCI is a subsidiary of Altisource Customer Solutions that provides call center and customer support services in Vestal and another facility in Tempe, Ariz.
