Based on Plautus’ ancient Roman comedy The Mostellaria, this new translation by Prof. John Starks is presented through special funding from The Classical Association of the Atlantic States (CAAS) and features an original musical score by Santino DeAngelo. This student production is the centerpiece of an academic conference on ancient comedy that is bringing preeminent scholars on Roman comedy from all over the world to Binghamton. Local audiences will have the opportunity to be a part of this unique demonstration of ancient theater at the Cidermill Playhouse for two special performances.
