ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) - Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand says improved access to credit for struggling farmers and milk pricing reform are among her priorities for New York farmers.
Gillibrand is a member of the Senate Agriculture Committee, where the Farm Bill could move as early as this week.
She said the bill should strengthen specialty crop insurance and include rural broadband investment, along with making sure dairy farmers receive fair prices. Gillibrand is scheduled to outline her priorities to reporters on today.
