ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) - The State Office for People With Developmental Disabilities has scheduled a hearing on its five-year plan for serving more than 126,000 New Yorkers.
The agency, which provides about 20 percent of care and services directly, uses a network of some 700 nonprofits for the rest.
The hearing Friday afternoon on the 2012-16 plan includes Commissioner Courtney Burke at an agency facility in suburban Schenectady. There will be videoconferencing to seven locations: Kingston and Haverstraw in the Hudson Valley, Hauppauge on Long Island, Manhattan, Rochester, North Syracuse and West Seneca.
Registration to attend is required.
