Everyone with an Ithaca connection - from being born and raised there to attending school to shopping - has been invited to write about their activities and thoughts on the same day. On Friday, May 17, "One Day in Ithaca" replicates the Centennial Write-In of 1988 which drew some 8,000 essays, poems, anecdotes, journal entries and general musings. Tompkins County Historian Carol Kammen welcomes any expression of any style and length.

Send entries to or mail them to the County Historian at 125 E. Court St. in Ithaca, NY 14850. Participants can also drop off entries at the Tompkins County Public Library.
