Everyone with an Ithaca connection - from being born and raised there to attending school to shopping - has been invited to write about their activities and thoughts on the same day. On Friday, May 17, "One Day in Ithaca" replicates the Centennial Write-In of 1988 which drew some 8,000 essays, poems, anecdotes, journal entries and general musings. Tompkins County Historian Carol Kammen welcomes any expression of any style and length.
Send entries to email@example.com or mail them to the County Historian at 125 E. Court St. in Ithaca, NY 14850. Participants can also drop off entries at the Tompkins County Public Library.
