The Roberson Mansion is proud to host the world premiere of Santino DeAngelo’s latest composition SALMACIS: A Tale of Unrequited Love for Piano & Cello in 5 Parts.
The music is based on the Ovidian myth of Salmacis and Hermaphroditus and will feature pianist Pej Reitz and cellist Hakan Tayga-hromek. As a part of this premiere Santino has comissioned a photo exhibition entitled ANDR/GYNY: Gender in the Age of Mechanical Reproduction, which will explore the roles of sexuality and gender in the post-modern world. This exhibition hung at Tranquil Bar & Bistro throughout the month of April. Portions of the exhibit will be on view during the performance at Roberson.
