EDEN, N.Y. (AP) - A traveling Vietnam Veterans Memorial wall has arrived in upstate New York.
It was met Wednesday by hundreds of motorcycle riders who escorted it to the American Legion post in Eden, near Buffalo. It will be displayed there round-the-clock through Sunday.
The memorial is a smaller version of the permanent Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington and is one of several traveling replicas.
About 80 percent the size of the original, it is 360 feet long and eight feet high at its center. The panels are inscribed with the names of all 58,195 U.S service members killed in the Vietnam War.
