The Franklin Stage Company is presenting a weekend of flamenco. We hear from the director and lead performer of the flamenco ensemble A Palo Seco about the origins of the flamenco style which are lost in the mists of history, and about the possible origin of the word itself, which is equally mysterious. Director Rebecca Thomas spoke to us from a train where she was commuting into New York for a rehearsal.
