PA Governor Renews 90-Day Opioid Disaster Declaration
Governor Tom Wolf is renewing a "disaster emergency" designation to fight the drug epidemic that killed over 5,200 Pennsylvanians last year. Wolf said the designation signed in January has made it easier for people struggling with opioid addiction to get the resources they need. Wolf says by extending the designation another 90 days the state can add to those programs and meet with people from different communities. "Going around the state will allow us to get more on the ground feedback from people on the front lines of this fight... so we can do everything we can to beat this crisis." Read full story here.
