For our first dance of 2025, we'll be welcoming Gabrielle Macrae (fiddle) and Barry Southern (banjo/guitar), aka The Horsenecks, all the way in from Astoria, Oregon!! Maybe best known for instigating Quarantine Happy Hour — daily, virtual, old-time music performances that helped many of us stay sane and connected through the worst of the COVID-19 pandemic — the Horsenecks are well loved both for their expertise in traditional repertoire and their masterful original music. They'll start the evening off with a short (45-60 minutes) concert set, after which they'll be joined by a few local greats (including Rosie Newton and Paul Martin) to get yr feet moving. As always, all dances taught from scratch — no experience necessary — welcoming and inclusive frolicking for everyone! Arrive early and stay all night to enjoy Stone Bend's yummy pizzas, beverages, and (maybe) a bonfire in the wonderland that is Greater Newfield, NY.
