Come join the fun on Saturday, May 4 as The Friends of Fillmore Glen will once again host “I Love My Park Day” from 9 am to 1 pm. to help get our local state park ready for the summer season. Following a full morning of projects which will include gorge trail clearing, invasive species removal, garden work, putting wood chips on the playground and stick and litter pickup, a lunch will be served at 1pm for all volunteers. What a great way to reconnect with fellow outdoor enthusiasts!

Also, on this day the Owasco Watershed Lake Association (OWLA) will partner with the Friends of Fillmore Glen to establish an educational native plant garden alongside the main pavilion. Signage will be created with a QR code to take park visitors to an OWLA website with more information on the importance of encouraging native plants in our gardens, parks and watersheds.

Onsite registration will begin at the Main Pavilion at 8:45 am followed by a group photo at 9 am. Light refreshments will be available in the Fillmore room in the morning. Large groups, small groups, young and old are all welcomed and needed.
