Ithaca Shakespeare Company’s “The Tempest”

Ithaca Shakespeare Company’s “The Tempest”

The Ithaca Shakespeare Company presents Shakespeare's “The Tempest” in beautiful Robert H. Treman State Park!

A terrible storm at sea...
A shipwreck on a remote island...
An exiled magician and the powerful spirit he commands...
An innocent first love...
A plot to murder the king...
A drunken butler with delusions of grandeur...
A fool, a "monster," and a harpy...

One of Shakespeare's last plays, “The Tempest” is a perfect blend of comedy, drama, romance, adventure, and magic. It also offers a critical examination of early European colonialism and a speech that might represent Shakespeare's final farewell to his art.

A gripping tale of revenge and reconciliation, shipwreck and salvation, storms and spirits, music and magic, done outdoors for the first time in our history.

Performances are July 17-20 and 23-27 at Robert H. Treman State Park (Upper Entrance). All shows start at 6 pm.

Wednesday, July 23 is Discount Night – all tickets just $10!

Don't miss the magic this summer!
