Honoring Juneteenth at the Food Bank
On Wednesday, June 19, the Food Bank is opening its doors to the public in honor of Juneteenth, the holiday that commemorates the emancipation of enslaved people in the US. Join us for a morning of service and learning, including volunteering, a workshop on how racist policies in the US have impacted present day income & food insecurity rates, and a tour of the Food Bank!
Here’s the schedule for the event:
9:00 – 10:30 am: Volunteer
10:30 am – 12:00 pm: Racial Wealth Gap Simulation
12:00 – 12:30 pm: Tour the Food Bank Warehouse
