The Trailwagger is a fun run/walk and dog walk supporting the animals at Super Heroes Humane Society.

The Trailwagger will take place in beautiful Gilbert Lake State Park on October 11, 2025.

Come run or walk the trails or walk your dog on the road around the lake during peak foliage colors! There are 3-, 5-, and 8-mile courses available. AND you can run the 8-mile course solo or as a team (with one person running the 3-mile course and the other completing the 5-mile course).

All registrants receive a fee t-shirt and dogs in the dog walk get a matching bandana!

Ithaca Organizing Fair

For members of the public who have been curious about getting involved with community organizing and advocacy groups, there is an upcoming event meant to aid with that goal.

The Ithaca Organizing Fair will be held on Thursday, December 5 from 6:30PM until 8:30PM, at the Southside Community Center (305 S Plain St, Ithaca, NY 14850).

Over a dozen organizations engaging in advocacy and action around housing, education, climate & environment, labor rights, human rights, mutual aid, and other social issues will have tables set up in the Southside gym. Attendees will have the opportunity to stop at different tables to have casual conversations with organizers about their efforts. Attendees will be able to see the range of grassroots organizations in the Ithaca area, and learn how to get involved in ways that fit their schedules, abilities, and interests.

The Ithaca Organizing Fair is free and all members of the public are welcome. The fair will feature organizations led by residents, students, and youth.

Organizations tabling will include Ithaca Teachers Association, Ithaca Tenants Union, Ithaca DSA, Sunrise Movement Ithaca, Mutual Aid Tompkins, Coalition for Mutual Liberation, Ithaca Committee for Justice in Palestine, Jewish Voice for Peace, and more.
