Who Wins? Your Vote and the Electoral College
Who Wins? Your Vote and the Electoral College
The League of Women Voters of Broome and Tioga Counties presents "Who Wins: Your Vote and the Electoral College." A panel will address this topic of national concern raised every Presidential Election year. Panelists will discuss the history of the Electoral College when it was added to the U.S. Constitution in 1787, and address the following questions: Why an Electoral College? How does it work? What are the pros and cons of this way of actually electing the President, especially given the concerns of those who feel their vote does not count? And should we replace the Electoral College with the National Popular Vote?
