The Vestal Museum & Vestal Historical Society invite you to our 5oth Anniversary as a museum (1976 - 2026). We will be unveiling our Community Autograph Quilt, Live Fiddle Music on the Platform by Annie Ol' Thyme (6pm). Light refreshments, activities on the lawn and more. Bring a lawn chair, relax ad enjoy our small town museum. Our Summer exhibit is "The 50 Objects from Our 50 Years.". It's a night of free entertainment and fun for all ages.

Join us at the Library for a talk about immigration and the Erie Canal, presented by Steph Adams, Director of Interpretation at the Erie Canal Museum. The story of the Erie Canal is in many ways a story of immigration, with thousands of migrants traveling and working on and along the Canal’s waters. Learn more in this talk about the many ways in which immigrants impacted the construction, operation, and culture of the Erie Canal.

Brush up your Blue Suede Shoes, wash your bell bottoms and polish your mood ring...There will be a dance for Seniors at the Central Jr High School Gym on Main Street in Vestal. Dinner is at 4:30 (Stuffed chicken broccoli & cheese, sides and dessert 4.00 /60 + / person 5.00 under 60. YOU MUST RESERVE YOUR DINNER AT 607-754-9596 by Noon on 6/4! No extra dinners at the door. Music will be in the gym- dancing through the decades with Andy Papaleo. Free to attend no reservation for dance portion only. Explorer, inventor, artist, Renaissance woman, Michelle Menter brings you an environment of clicking, clacking, flying crabs, particularly the area near Al’s Place — the only beauty parlor discovered so far on planet Crabulon.

This program is made possible in part with funds from the Statewide Community Regrant program from the New York State Council on the Arts, with the support of the office of the Governor and NYS Legislature, administered by the Community Arts Partnership of Tompkins County.

I would like to invite you to join me for “Community Office Hours” on June 9th, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Ulysses Philomathic Library. I am partnering with the Ithaca Pride Alliance, Planned Parenthood of Greater New York, and the Suicide Prevention & Crisis Service to provide resources to the community. Our constituent services teams will be there to help with any issues you may be facing, whether it’s unemployment, housing, healthcare, utility bills, EBT/WIC/SNAP, or other state issues. We hope to see you there.
