Even As Cuomo's Favorability Is Low, Residents Believe He's Made NY Better

VESTAL, NY (WSKG) — By a margin of 51-39 percent, New Yorkers think Governor Andrew Cuomo has made the state a better place to live since being elected. That's according to the latest Siena College poll released Tuesday.

Although, the governor’s favorability rating matched his lowest-ever rating, and his job performance rating hit its lowest-ever.

The poll shows overwhelming support for new laws like requiring children be vaccinated regardless of religious beliefs, allowing farmworkers’ to organize, and a ban on single-use plastic bags, but a majority of voters say they oppose a law allowing undocumented immigrants to get New York driver’s licenses.
