VESTAL, NY (WSKG)- A Division III Attendance record was set as Ithaca College beat SUNY Cortland 32-20 in football on Saturday.

45,161 people watched as the teams competed for the rivalry’s trophy, the Cortaca Jug. It was played at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey. That field is home to the New York Giants and the New York Jets of the NFL.

Attendance beat the previous Division-three record by about eight thousand fans, which was set at Target Field in 2017. This was the 61st meeting in the rivalry between Ithaca and Cortland.
