BINGHAMTON, NY (WSKG) - Health officials in Otsego and Chemung Counties have confirmed COVID-19 cases.
An Otsego County patient was in close contact with a positive case in another county. Health officials said anyone who has been in close contact to the patient have been notified and that individual is now isolated.
Meanwhile, Chemung County has confirmed two cases. The county is urging residents not to panic. On Facebook, officials said test results will come back at various times.
Broome, Tompkins, Tioga, Delaware, Cortland, Chenango and Steuben Counties in New York have also confirmed cases. Wayne County in Pennsylvania has a confirmed case. Broome reported a death on Saturday.
Anyone with symptoms of COVID-19 is asked to contact a healthcare provider.
