VESTAL, NY (WSKG) - Tioga County's Public Health Department is reporting multiple positive cases of COVID-19 among residents and staff at the Elderwood nursing facility in Waverly.
In a statement, the department said it won't comment further due to health privacy laws.
The residents with confirmed cases are in isolation.
The county is working to get more personal protective equipment for the facility. It said each nurse is screened prior to going to work each day, per New York State guidelines.
As of Friday, Tioga County has not reported a death related to COVID-19.
