2025 Native American Heritage Month Kanien'kehá:ka/Mohawk Dance Performance
In observance of Native American Heritage Month, the Rise Up Studio Dancers lead by Kanerahti:io DJ White will perform traditional and contemporary Kanienʼkehá:ka/Mohawk Social Dances at the Foothills Performing Arts and Civic Center in Oneonta, NY at 7:00 PM on Tuesday, November 18, 2025.
Free and open to the public.
About: Kanerahti:io DJ White is an award-winning dancer, cultural educator and craftsman from the Kanienʼkehá:ka/Mohawk community of Akwesasne. He is the head of the Rise Up Studio Dancers and Singers, who perform traditional and contemporary dances, songs, and teachings of the Haudenosaunee/Iroquois people at venues across the northeastern United States and Canada. Mr. White is also a sought-after regalia maker who puts his passion for his community and culture equally into his vibrant performances and his meticulous craftsmanship.
