Arrival: Traditions Carried, Stories Shared - African & Afro-Cuban Drum, Dance & Culture

Arrival: Traditions Carried, Stories Shared - African & Afro-Cuban Drum, Dance & Culture
The Foundation of Light, CSMA, Open Doors English, Salsa Ithaca, and Asempe Kitchen are collaborating on a transformative weekend event June 20-22 celebrating the rhythms, stories, and flavors of African and Afro-Cuban traditions through dance, drumming, storytelling, and food. This immersive gathering is more than a cultural experience—it is a platform for community engagement, activism, and support for artists who share their heritage and histories.
Through workshops, performances, and a post-performance Q&A, attendees will not only experience the beauty of these traditions but also engage in meaningful conversations about what it means to arrive and share cultural experiences through art.

7:30pm - PERFORMANCE - Arrival: Traditions Carried, Stories Shared
