The Maple Shade Hootenanny harvest festival, one of the region’s largest events of the season, returns to Delhi’s Maple Shade Farm October 11-12. Hootenanny will operate from 10a-5p both days, and admission is $10 per day. The Maple Shade Hootenanny will be held rain or shine under a series of very large tents, and inside the farm’s historic barn.

The Maple Shade Hootenanny is a seasonal, weekend showcase for local farms, producers, makers, and artists, a heralded harvest festival celebration, and shopping opportunity, for patrons. The event promises the availability of all kinds of locally crafted items, including wooden products, jewelry, and knitted goods (to name a few), as well as vintage clothing, outdoor gear, and antiques. Local produce, maple syrup, honey, dairy products, baked goods, and ice cream will be available, along with BBQ, pizza, dumplings, lobster and lots more. Local/regional beers, ciders, and spirits will be available to patrons 21+.

The family friendly Hootenanny event features a variety of games, music for kids, workshops, demos, farm animals, a corn maze, wagon rides, and more.

The lineup of musical performers at this year’s Hootenanny includes The Nate Gross Band, Caviar & Grits, Becca Frame and the Tall Boys, Front & Main, The College Farm, Mike Herman, Lali & the Pops, Bobby Curious, John Houshmand, and more. Festival headliner Nate Gross has built a powerful reputation for himself over the last 20 years. Combining Blues, Rock, and Soul with monster-sized guitar licks, The Nate Gross Band has a sound that has been captivating audiences at some of the most respected festivals and venues for some time. Nate has shared the stage with legends such as Levon Helm, Mike Zito, Blackberry Smoke, Tommy Castro, Dickey Betts, G.E Smith, Jim Weider, Arlo Guthrie, JD Simo, Commander Cody, Walter Trout, Willie Nelson, Shemika Copeland, and JJ Grey to name a few.
