The Vestal Museum will have on display various Girl Scout memorabilia, photos, and informative text that will explore 114 years of Girl Scouts as part of not only United States history, but of the significant part Girl Scout founder Juliette Gordon Low played in advancing global understanding, friendships among people from many nations, and world peace.
Tours of the museum are welcome during regular museum hours of Weds 9am-1pm, Thurs 5pm-9pm, Saturdays 9am-3pm, and Sundays noon-4pm. Due to the small size of the museum, please keep groups to approximately 15 people.
An exhibit opening will happen on March 7th from noon-3pm with display talks and activities.

Children are invited to the Newfield Library to practice their reading skills by reading to one of Cornell Companion’s volunteer therapy dogs! Cornell Companions is an all-volunteer organization sponsored by the Cornell University Veterinary College in their 26th year of providing beneficial animal assisted activities to the community.

Tioga Arts Council (TAC) is pleased to present its Tioga County Middle & High School Student Exhibition. It will open on First Friday, April 3, from 5 - 8 p.m. at 179 Front St., Owego. After the opening, the exhibition will be on view from April 4 - 25, 2026, Wed. through Sat. from 12 - 4 p.m..The exhibition features work from Candor, Newark Valley, Owego, Spencer Van Etten, and Tioga Central. Triple P- Positive Parenting Program is an evidence-based program backed by over 40 years of research helping parents raise confident, healthy children and build strong relationships. The Newfield Public Library will be hosting 4 free sessions with educators from Triple P, the first Saturday of each month, February through May. The sessions are titled: February 7 “The Power of Positive Parenting,” March 7 “Raising Confident, Competent Children,” April 4 “Raising Resilient Children,” May 2 “Helping Children Develop Healthy Screentime Habits.” For all sessions childcare is available for participants but parents must register in advance and remain in the building during the event.
