The lecture "Plant Power: How Plants Can Save Your Life and the Planet" will be presented by Lisa Rigau, a registered nurse and nutrition counselor, and her husband, Dr. Saul Rigau, an emergency medicine physician affiliated with Geisinger CMC in Scranton. The couple will illustrate how fiber fosters a healthy gut microbiome, which promotes overall physical and emotional health and can prevent cardiovascular disease, diabetes, and cancer. . Prior to the lecture, a chef and caterer will prepare a Kosher, plant-based dinner served buffet-style in an elegant setting.
