BINGHAMTON, NY (WSKG) - Tompkins County will require all licensed childcare centers to close starting Wednesday, March 18th through April 13th due to concern over the new coronavirus.
County Administrator Jason Molino signed an executive order on Tuesday. According to a press release, the action was taken to promote social distancing and protect high-risk individuals.
This comes the same day Tompkins announced it's third positive test for COVID-19. Cayuga Health System has opened a drive-through screening facility in Tompkins County and officials said the number of pending results has jumped.
