BINGHAMTON, NY (WSKG) — Dennis Craig of SUNY Purchase will act as president at SUNY Oneonta.
SUNY Chancellor Jim Malatras made the announcement Thursday while also announcing Barbara Jean Morris would resign.
Malatras said in a statement that the school is at a "critical juncture".
More than 700 students tested positive for COVID-19 after classes resumed on campus in August. Shortly after, classes moved online and students were sent home.
"Acting President Craig's first priority is to ensure students have what they need to complete their fall semester, as well as a clear plan in place for the spring," Malatras expects Craig will bring steady, focused, and collaborative leadership to the campus.
