Andrea Gregori plays Maria Callas in Terrence McNally's Tony Award-winning play, 'Master Class', presented by Tri-Cities Opera. It is based on a series of master classes Callas conducted at Juilliard in the 1970s. Also with us is director Cynthia Clarey, who really was one of those Juilliard students and may have been the model for the soprano with whom Callas clashes in the play. The play is alternately touching and hilarious as Callas reveals her past disappointments and triumphs.
