Moving Stories of Grief

Moving Stories of Grief

Join us on Friday, April 17th from 7:00 - 9:00 PM (doors open at 6:30 PM) at the Hangar Theatre, 801 Taughannock Blvd., Ithaca NY.

Hosted by Hospicare, in partnership with Kathy Lucas Movement Arts, and co-collaborator Carol S. James, Moving Stories of Grief is an evening of movement performances offered as meditations on grief. The performances grew through a weekly series of workshops led by Kathy Lucas and Carol S. James, inviting community members to explore grief through story and movement.

In addition to the performance Hospicare will be hosting a 'Museum of Ordinary Things" in the lobby and performance space. An homage created by community members, sharing memories of loved one through artifacts of their time together “And although the objects themselves are no replacement for the people we ache for, they are a reminder of the fact that those people were here, and they mattered and will be missed.” (Museum of Ordinary People by Mike Gayle)
