The public is invited to attend the 2026 MLK Serve & Learn Day at the Food Bank of the Southern Tier! Join us for a day of service as well as education in honor of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

Workshops, Food Bank Tours, and Volunteer Shifts are scheduled throughout the day. Please register for each individual activity you wish to attend. You can view each activity and register at www.foodbankst.org/serve-and-learn.

Note on youth participation:
--Children must be at least 6 years old and accompanied by an adult to volunteer
--Workshops are for those age 16+

Growing a successful business is our goal - create your business plan today! You will be guided through the process of harnessing the myriad of small business ideas and thoughts, and focus upon building and executing your simple, focused start-up plan.

Cost: $149. (US Veterans with DD214 ID proof provided, pay only $25)

Students that successful complete the program, including a completing a business model canvas and pitch presentation, will be eligible for the Entrepreneurship Assistance Program Microcredential.

This program is designed to assist women, minorities, veterans, individuals with disabilities, and dislocated workers in Broome, Chenango, Delaware and Tioga counties.

The SUNY Broome Entrepreneurship Assistance Center is made possible by a grant from Empire State Development and facilitated by the City of Binghamton’s Local Development Corporation.

Beginners to advanced painters can develop and hone painting skills and techniques in this program. Learn the fundamentals of oil painting without using turpentine or other toxic mediums. Painting is taught in a step-by-step method designed to increase painting knowledge and skill. Finish the course with at least one successful painting to frame and hang proudly.

Discover that you can paint still life like the old masters. If you learn to paint still life, you can go on to paint any subject matter effectively: portrait, landscape and more. We will paint in thin black and white, then painting and glazing the beautiful rich color.

Valentine Date Night is a hands-on culinary experience designed for couples who want to enjoy a fun, romantic evening in the kitchen.
