Join the Binghamton University Art Museum for A Long Series of Shorts for our NEW DATE of Thursday, April 16 during open museum hours of 12-7PM. Come watch shorts related to our Spring 2026 exhibitions, Line, Color, Contrast: Japanese Prints and New York Arts and Crafts and companion exhibition, Drawing Connections: Frank Lloyd Wright. Featured films include The Victorian House of Arts and Crafts, Pan-American Exposition, Buffalo, New York, 1901 footage by Edison, Thomas A. (Thomas Alva), 1847-1931, A Girl Is a Fellow Here, Ukiyo-e fundamentals: history, production, and influence and many more! Binghamton University Art Museum Lower Galleries are located on the first floor of the Fine Arts Building on Binghamton University campus. All BUAM events are free and open to the public.
Tioga Arts Council (TAC) is pleased to present its Tioga County Middle & High School Student Exhibition. It will open on First Friday, April 3, from 5 - 8 p.m. at 179 Front St., Owego. After the opening, the exhibition will be on view from April 4 - 25, 2026, Wed. through Sat. from 12 - 4 p.m..The exhibition features work from Candor, Newark Valley, Owego, Spencer Van Etten, and Tioga Central. Get acquainted with and view example artwork created by the student artists participating in this year’s WyCAAT ’26 K-12 Student Art Show. Light refreshments provided. This important annual exhibit – on display from April 21 thru June 2 at the Wyoming County Courthouse art gallery – is coordinated by Tunkhannock Area School District art teachers Krista Truesdale, Ali Woods Wilson, Lance Montross, and Barb Sick as part of the Wyoming County Arts & Artists Tour. The fourth-annual art tour will be held on May 1, 2 & 3.
If you are new to Digital SLR cameras or have had one for a while and just want to become more familiar with its workings and how to improve your photos, this is the class for you! This class will go through your camera’s menu and inner workings, as well as images to show how they affect your pictures.
During this class you will learn what buttons and functions on your camera may help improve the use of your camera to help you spend less time making changes and more time taking pictures. Learning about shutter speed and apertures will be discussed to learn their importance in image making. Students should have their cameras, USB cable and instruction manual.

Hosted by Hospicare, in partnership with Kathy Lucas Movement Arts, and co-collaborator Carol S. James, Moving Stories of Grief is an evening of movement performances offered as meditations on grief. The performances grew through a weekly series of workshops led by Kathy Lucas and Carol S. James, inviting community members to explore grief through story and movement.
In addition to the performance Hospicare will be hosting a 'Museum of Ordinary Things" in the lobby and performance space. An homage created by community members, sharing memories of loved one through artifacts of their time together “And although the objects themselves are no replacement for the people we ache for, they are a reminder of the fact that those people were here, and they mattered and will be missed.” (Museum of Ordinary People by Mike Gayle)
