Arise & Go’s St. Patrick’s Day Show & Album Release
Arise & Go, the international Celtic trio with musicians hailing from the US and Canada, present an unforgettable St. Patrick’s Day celebration on Monday, March 16 at 7pm at the First Unitarian Society of Ithaca as part of the release tour for their new album Moments of Light.
Moments of Light represents the culmination of the band's development over the last 6 years. Continuing on the course set by their 2019 album Meeting Place, Arise & Go integrates the dance music from Ireland, Scotland, and Atlantic Canada into a sound that is uniquely their own. The arrangements and original compositions on Moments of Light capture those sparks of joy that emerge when musicians who are in tune with one another combine to make music that is more than the sum of its parts.
The band formed in 2016 in Ithaca, NY after meeting at the legendary legendary Chapter House Irish Session in Collegetown, and has since gained fans worldwide with concerts across North America, and through national radio features on programs like NPR’s Thistle & Shamrock. Arise & Go is Ellie Goud (fiddle), Michael Roddy (uilleann pipes, border pipes, smallpipes, whistles) and Tim Ball (guitar, foot percussion).
