We are hosting “Dancing with Horses” at the Newfield Public library on Wednesday, June 4 at 4:00 pm. This Winterberry Homestead program is an introduction to the art of dressage, teaching horses to dance in harmony with themselves, as performed by the Spanish Riding School and Lipizzan Stallions of Austria. Conducted as a ballet class, participants will learn dance moves that mimic the moves of the horses such as the side pass, pirouette, flying changes, piaffe, and passage with Katie the miniature horse demonstrating the movements.

This program is made possible in part with funds from the Statewide Community
Regrant program from the New York State Council on the Arts, with the support of the office
of the Governor and NYS Legislature, administered by the Community Arts Partnership of
Tompkins County.
