Civic Ensemble presents the world premiere of Fertile Grounds by Katie Ka Vang, directed by Carley Robinson.
Fertile Grounds is the powerful story of loss, grief, healing, and connection. This world premiere community-based play, written by Katie Ka Vang, invites the audience onto a BIPOC farming cooperative to explore what it means to be well, and to heal.
The play will be presented at two venues:
June 2nd-4th: The Soil Factory (142 Ithaca Beer Dr, Ithaca, NY 14850)
June 9th-11th: Community School of Music and Arts (330 E State St, Ithaca, NY 14850)
Audience advisory: Please note that this play contains mature themes of death of a loved one and grief, as well as exploration of one's relationship to or disconnection from land.
The production will run approximately two hours with intermission.
