Tioga Arts Council (TAC), in partnership with Cloud Croft Studios (CCS), is excited to announce its ninth juried regional art exhibition, Everyday Life, Every Day Art (ELEDA). It will feature work from artists within a 100-mile radius of Owego, encompassing 25 counties in New York and Pennsylvania. The 6th annual Ride For Richie rolls Saturday, September 26 - a motorcycle and car ride for suicide prevention and awareness, honoring the life of Richie Lupo. The ride starts and ends at American Legion Post 1194, 363 West Service Road, Hillcrest. Registration 9:45 AM, kickstands-up 11:00 AM. Food, live music and basket raffles. Motorcycles, cars and families all welcome. Now in its 6th continuous year, Ride For Richie is a federally recognized 501(c)(3) non-profit. The Trumansburg Area Churches will host the annual CROP Hunger Walk, also known as the Tom Lange Memorial Hunger Walk, on Sunday, September 27, 2026. We seek partners to help financially and/or physically support the walk. We encourage you to join us in walking to fight to end hunger. Church World Services (CWS) works nationally and globally to fight hunger. We are partners with them locally with the Trumansburg Food Pantry. 25% of the money raised with our CROP Walk stays at our pantry and supports the needs of many of our neighbors in our community.
We need you. Please consider creating a team of walkers to join us on September 27 at 1:00 p.m. The St. James Catholic church at 17 Whig St, Trumansburg, , will be the walk's starting point. Lace-up those sneakers and fill up the water bottle. We will provide the road map and the cookies. Busy that day? Please consider financially donating to CROP Walk. The Alzheimer's Association invites the community to participate in the Cooperstown Walk to End Alzheimer's on Sunday, October 4, at the Clark Sports Center located at 124 County Highway 52, Cooperstown, NYCheck In: 12:00 Noon, Ceremony: 1:00pm, Walk immediately following the ceremonyThe Promise Garden ceremony honors those affected by Alzheimer's and other dementias.
