Community Science Institute (CSI) invites you to its very first “HABby Hour” — an informal, informative public event dedicated to understanding Harmful Algal Blooms (HABs) on Cayuga Lake.Since 2018, CSI has worked with volunteers to monitor Cayuga Lake’s shoreline for HABs, collecting important data and helping to protect one of our region’s most cherished natural resources. During HABby Hour, CSI’s experienced staff and dedicated volunteers will be on hand to answer your questions, interpret data trends, and dispel common misconceptions about HABs. This is a unique opportunity to learn directly from the people behind the science.Enjoy a beautiful evening on the lakefront with complimentary hors d'oeuvres provided by Cayuga Shoreline, and take advantage of the full bar and menu available for purchase. Join us for the PAST Historic Home Tour 2025 on Saturday, June 21, 2025, from 1:00-4:00pm as we explore the historic homes of the West Side of Binghamton. This annual event offers a unique opportunity to step back in time and admire the architectural beauty of our community’s historic homes.
Please note, this year the event has a new date, so be sure to mark your calendars! Tickets are available for purchase in advance for $20, or $25 after September 9th. You can purchase tickets by mailing a check to PAST at 21 N. Depot St., Unit 1E, Binghamton, NY 13901, or online at www.pastny.org.

Farm Fest is dedicated to celebrating local communities while advocating for a sustainable regional food system that’s ecologically sound, socially just, and economically viable. We hope you will join us to tour the farm, visit the vendor marketplace, pick strawberries and flowers with the family, and hear from a variety of organic farmers and advocates. The event also features raffles, drinks, farm-to-table food, and pasture-raised bbq from Finger Lakes Cider House!
Farm tours will take place at 12:30 and 1:45 pm. Topics include organic apples and pastured poultry and are sponsored by the Transition to Organic Partnership Program. Live music with Honey for the Bees will begin at 2:00 pm!
Registration is free! Donations to support NOFA-NY and NY farmers are appreciated.
