Come join us for a hearth cooking experience at the Patterson Inn on Saturday, April 22, 2023 from 1:00-3:00 pm. It will be a simple meal from the 1800s. Our guest cooks will demonstrate how to cook a historic meal using the hearth with your help. The participants will learn how to make a fire as well as actively be involved in the food preparation and cooking the meal to perfection. The afternoon will be filled with fun activities including a scavenger hunt at the Inn. The meal will be served from the hearth with all of the wonderful smells from the kitchen. Ticket sales are limited to 20 people. The cost is $50 per person. You can make reservations by calling the Office at 607 937-5281.

VINES is a local nonprofit that helps people grow their own food at 22 Community Gardens across Broome County, employs teenagers year-round to help grow food for our community, and supports local farms while improving food access by distributing over 250 shares of produce to residents during the growing season. This unique Farm to Table dinner supports VINES' great work. The event kicks off with a cocktail hour and opening of the silent auction at 5:00 pm. Appetizers and dinner featuring a delicious spread of dishes prepared by Lost Dog’s chefs and sourced from local farmers will be served at 6:15pm. Gluten free and vegan options available. At 7:00 pm dessert and coffee will be served while VINES and other special guests make announcements. Entertainment will include live music and speakers. All proceeds support VINES’ programs! The 9th annual Dinner and Dessert auction supports women who have survived sex trafficking and sexual exploitation. The Potter's Hands Foundation is a non-profit that helps women heal and move forward in Western New York's only 12-month residential program dedicated to sexually trafficked survivors. Event is sponsored by Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream and Pangea Global Teahouse, both of Watkins Glen, NY.
