Lace up those sneakers (and leashes!) Join us for Bampa’s House’s 9th Annual 5K Run/Walk on September 6th at beautiful Craig Park in Painted Post! Whether you're a seasoned runner, a leisurely walker, or a four-legged friend, there's a spot for everyone at this fun-filled event for a cause that truly matters — providing comfort care in our community. All ages welcome! Medals for top finishers in each age group. Special dog category — prizes for our paw-some participants! Register now and let’s walk (or run) for comfort, care, and community!
Bampa’s House (Corning Comfort Care, Inc.), a nonprofit organization that serves the Steuben, Chemung, and Schuyler County area. A comfort care home is a beautiful, comfortable setting where individuals can reside if they have six months or less to live. It provides an alternative for those who do not have access to quality care at home and do not wish to go to a nursing home. Our goal at Bampa’s House is to provide a home-like environment for loved ones to receive hospice care in a comfortable, safe, and peaceful atmosphere. There is no financial cost to the residents or their families for the care provided at Bampa’s House, and we do not receive reimbursement from insurance or government healthcare programs. However, the average daily cost to care for each resident is approximately $360, making community support essential to sustaining our mission. Since opening our doors in September 2020, we have had the privilege of caring for more than 125 residents and supporting their families and friends. With compassion at the heart of everything we do, our trained, community-based volunteer caregivers provide comfort and dignity in a warm, peaceful, and home-like environment.
Join us on September 6, 2025 for the 1st annual 5K Brew-to-Brew road race from The Wakeman Coffee Co. to Muddy River Farm Brewery! Start your morning with an energizing coffee and reward yourself at the finish line with a crisp cold beer—or NA bevvie—and stunning views of the Susquehanna River in Sidney, NY! Runners and walkers of all ability levels welcome!
Proceeds from this community event will benefit two impactful local organizations:
The Uplift Collective, a Sidney Center–based nonprofit dedicated to improving the lives of children and families in the Western Catskills and Southern Tier, particularly those facing a significant health crisis.
The Delaware Valley Humane Society, which provides shelter and compassionate care for homeless animals.
If you’d like to donate beyond your registration fee, thank you! Any amount is appreciated.
