A multi-generational stringband with roots in traditional American old-time fiddle music, Wicked Children is: Judy Hyman (fiddle) and Jeff Claus (banjo uke and guitar) of The Horse Flies; brothers Gus Tritsch (guitar and fiddle) and Huck Tritsch (fiddle and percussion), of The Wild Shoats; and Sally Freund (bass) of Rose and the Bros and Tractor Family. Huck and Gus have won 1st and 2nd place respectively in the youth fiddle contest at the Clifftop Festival in WV, and their band has won 1st place in the neo-trad category there. Gus tours regularly with Jake Blount and both he and Huck appeared on Blount’s Tiny Desk Concert on NPR. Hyman and Claus have extensive touring and recording history with The Horse Flies, and Hyman has done multiple tours with Natalie Merchant and appeared on 3 of her albums. Most importantly, everybody in the band loves playing fiddle music; making a tight, deep pocket; and having fun! For more info: www.judyhyman.com, thehorseflies.com, shoatsmusic.com, jeffclaus.com.

BANDITS ON THE RUN are a musical trio comprised of Adrian Blake Enscoe, Sydney Shepherd, and Regina Strayhorn, known for their distinct combination of cello, guitar, accordion, and found-percussion with sophisticated three-part harmonies and rotating lead vocals. The Brooklyn-based outfit sprang from a chance encounter while busking in NYC’s bustling subways and burst onto the national stage in 2019 when their song, “Love in the Underground,” was featured on the NPR Tiny Desk Contest’s Top Shelf, with the esteemed tastemakers at the station proclaiming, “the band orchestrates a symphony of sound and story through its impressive musicianship and marvelous harmonies.”

Mama Look! is the convergence of three singer-songwriters in the Finger Lakes, united by their deep admiration for one another’s musical and artistic journeys. For decades, Uniit Carruyo, McKenzie Jones & Amy Puryear stood as mutual supporters, but Mama Look! marks their first opportunity to create, play and shine together.
Their perspectives have been shaped by the love, grief and joy of being mamas. These many threads are woven through their songwriting, spinning tales of vulnerability and strength. Their music is raw and tender, fierce and luminous, reflecting the complexity of lives lived with open hearts. With two guitars, one cello, three distinct voices, and a rotating constellation of leadership and support, Mama Look! is a radiant celebration of connection.
Mama Look! invites audiences to join in the magic of their music ~ a community of women giving light, not dimming it, collaborating not competing. Their love for music and one another is contagious!
Mama Look! will be bringing special guests and friends to play with them, so stay tuned!
