On Thursday, the Broome County legislature agreed to hold over a resolution to give the land bank over $850,000 to purchase and demolish the deteriorating building.

Martin has served as clerk for the Broome County Legislature for the past 14 years. Former Binghamton Mayor Rich David, a Republican, announced his candidacy for county clerk last month. Democrat Nick Libous also recently filed to enter the race.
