The 25th Annual Hart and Hills Memorial Golf Tournament will be held at The Links at Hiawatha Landing in support of Mom’s House. This special event honors the memory of Johnny Hart and Jerry Hills, longtime champions of Mom’s House and its mission.
Registration is $130 per player and includes a cart, lunch, dinner, and a full day of golf, fun, and community spirit. Players who register by June 1, 2026, will receive a free mulligan.
The tournament will also feature a $10,000 hole-in-one contest and a $250 putting contest sponsored by Matthews Auto, along with closest-to-the-pin and longest-drive competitions, raffles, silent auction items, and the popular Big Board.
All proceeds benefit Mom’s House and the services and support it provides to low-income single parents as they work to complete their educational goals and break the cycle of generational poverty. Mom’s House helps make this possible by providing free New York State-licensed childcare and other supportive services while parents attend school.

We are so excited to share that—just in time for Easter—we’ll be launching Saturday services! Twice a month, we’ll gather for worship with those whose work schedules make Sunday mornings difficult.
Our heart is to allow for everyone to worship, grow, and stay connected to the body of Christ—no matter their schedule. We can’t wait to gather together and see what God will do through this new opportunity!

Come see James Bird on July 26 at the Lansing Area Performance Hall (1004 Auburn Road, North Lansing, NY)! Our live Sunday shows start in the afternoon at 2 pm. The show will be recorded for broadcast on a future Sunday evening Bound for Glory radio show.
James is a poet, musician, and bard local to Western Massachusetts. A live musician at heart, he has shared music in a diversity of spaces like festivals, farmer’s markets, funerals, wedding ceremonies, ecstatic dances and grief rituals. Myth is a central theme in Bird’s music, using ancient stories to speak to the timeless human experiences of love, loss, friendship, mystery, death and rebirth.
In mid 2024 James went into the studio to record "Riddles" a story album that weaves through the stories of many mythical characters like Echo and Narcissus, Tammuz, Inanna, Circe and many more. The album is expected to be released in 2026.
James released his first album, “Parables”, on Bandcamp in 2014, an EP “Lila” in 2017, and a home-recorded single “Byron Bay” in 2019.
The single, “Flower of Wind” was Bird's first release in 5 years, a home-recorded ode to letting go. It arrived alongside his first book of poetry titled, “The Confluence”.
Come join us for Bound for Glory’s monthly live shows on the fourth Sunday of each month at 2 pm. Admission--as always--is free, but we are encouraging donations for the performers.
In a fresh twist, area-renown poets take the stage to perform with interpretive musicians with “The Verb Takes a Walk: Poetry Meets Music,” on Sunday, July 23, at the Lansing Performance Hall from 3:00 to 5:00. Featuring Peaches Gillette, Brooke Lange, Daphne Sola, Adin Luca, and Mike Finn, it promises to deliver poetry and music interactions in a memorably unique way.
“During Beatnik times, poetry and music hooked up,” according to Mark Zuss, former poetry professor and organizer of this Savage Club sponsored event. “But since those Kerouac days, this whole genre has been largely lost.”
Each of the “mixed media” readings that afternoon involve readings of diverse original poetry that is matched with live musical or other artform accompaniments or interpretations of that poetry. One of the many highlights is a reading by the 95-year-old poet, Daphne Sola, who will be followed by a high school protégé.

For the 19th consecutive year, CSI’s JoW program will partner with Discover Cayuga Lake to collect and analyze water samples from Cayuga Lake. Participants will learn field sampling techniques using professional-grade equipment and will assist in analyzing select water quality parameters aboard the vessel. The program also includes the collection of plankton samples using a plankton net, which will be examined under microscopes to observe and identify microscopic aquatic organisms. Following the cruise, samples will be analyzed in CSI’s state-certified laboratory, and resulting data will be incorporated into CSI’s online water quality database, contributing to long-term monitoring efforts and strengthening understanding of Cayuga Lake’s ecological health. This program offers a hands-on opportunity for participants of all ages to engage directly in real-world water quality science while enjoying a beautiful lake cruise!
All program activities will take place on board the vessel. Once the boat departs the dock, it will not return until the scheduled end of the program, except in cases of inclement weather or emergency.
