Join us for a hands-on workshop hosted by Wayne Harbert, a dulcimer maker, on the Appalachian dulcimer. Everyone will get an opportunity to play a dulcimer. All skill levels are welcome! Some dulcimers will be provided, anyone who has a dulcimer is encouraged to bring it!
In honor of National Poetry Month, Tioga Arts Council (TAC) is hosting an in-person poetry reading on Saturday, April 11, in the gallery at 1:30 p.m.
Participants can read a poem they love, an original poem, or both. Each reader will be given 5 - 7 minutes. If you would like to participate, please email tiogaartscouncil@gmail.com by April 1 to confirm.

Tioga Arts Council (TAC) is pleased to present its Tioga County Middle & High School Student Exhibition. It will open on First Friday, April 3, from 5 - 8 p.m. at 179 Front St., Owego. After the opening, the exhibition will be on view from April 4 - 25, 2026, Wed. through Sat. from 12 - 4 p.m..The exhibition features work from Candor, Newark Valley, Owego, Spencer Van Etten, and Tioga Central. The Mentor-Student Program seeks volunteer mentors to work one on one with school-age students of various ages who benefit from having a positive adult role model in their lives. This opportunity involves training, support, and meeting with your student twice a week after school. This is a win/win experience for both the student and the mentor as you learn and grow with each other. Students are waiting and your support is needed now. Growing a successful business is our goal - create your business plan today! You will be guided through the process of harnessing the myriad of small business ideas and thoughts, and focus upon building and executing your simple, focused start-up plan.
Cost: $149. (US Veterans with DD214 ID proof provided, pay only $25)
Students that successful complete the program, including a completing a business model canvas and pitch presentation, will be eligible for the Entrepreneurship Assistance Program Microcredential.
This program is designed to assist women, minorities, veterans, individuals with disabilities, and dislocated workers in Broome, Chenango, Delaware and Tioga counties.
