MAQ is a musical ensemble based in Ithaca, NY comprised of some of the area's best seasoned jazz and Brazilian-music musicians. Its members have individually toured throughout the United States and Europe, in venues from concert halls to clubs, performing everything from classic and modern jazz to Brazilian bossa and folk music.
MAQ will play the 1st and 3rd Mondays.

For adults and teens ages 16 and older, the University is offering the Virtual Intensive Stuttering Clinic for Adolescents and Adults from 4 to 7 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays from June 3 through July 3. The virtual sessions are conducted via Zoom.
The summer clinic program, which integrates individual and group therapy, was developed by licensed speech-language pathologists Rodney Gabel, professor and founding director of the Division of Speech and Language Pathology, and Cody Dew, assistant professor in the Division of Speech and Language Pathology.

From May to October, volunteer with us as we divide perennials, mulch plantings, plant shrubs, pull weeds, pot up perennials, rake leaves, spread gravel and more. Drop-in and lend a hand at our nursery and demo gardens, Remembrance Grove or Reflection Pond. Volunteers led by staff. Work varies and can be tailored to abilities and experience. Bring your sunhat and water bottle. Bonus: Learn about natural burial at the same time.
Join us for a free budgeting workshop, pizza and snacks will be provided. We will explore the power of budgeting, examine wants and needs, and talk personal spending and saving goals.
Children are invited to the Newfield Library to practice their reading skills by reading to one of Cornell Companion’s volunteer therapy dogs! Cornell Companions is an all-volunteer organization sponsored by the Cornell University Veterinary College in their 26th year of providing beneficial animal assisted activities to the community.
We are hosting “Dancing with Horses” at the Newfield Public library on Wednesday, June 4 at 4:00 pm. This Winterberry Homestead program is an introduction to the art of dressage, teaching horses to dance in harmony with themselves, as performed by the Spanish Riding School and Lipizzan Stallions of Austria. Conducted as a ballet class, participants will learn dance moves that mimic the moves of the horses such as the side pass, pirouette, flying changes, piaffe, and passage with Katie the miniature horse demonstrating the movements.
This program is made possible in part with funds from the Statewide CommunityRegrant program from the New York State Council on the Arts, with the support of the officeof the Governor and NYS Legislature, administered by the Community Arts Partnership ofTompkins County.

Come walk your dog at RTS Middle School (around the bus loop) with your 1st COLOR Dog Walk (100% food grade, washable, biodegradable, non-toxic color chalk powder) to create a dog paw path around our bus loop (donations to walk your dog). There will be Raffle Baskets (tickets for sale), a Bake Sale, a Dog Paw Paint Craft Activity, and Here's The Twist Ice Cream Truck for purchases. All proceeds to benefit the B.C. Humane Society.
