Music in the Glen began the summer of 2020, when all other music events were cancelled because of covid. These concerts, in beautiful Glendale Park, permitted safe, isolated listening experiences, with easy parking, shaded listening under the trees, and pristine sound from the stage at shelter 1. To date, 120 concerts have been provided. Please tell your friends and colleagues. Concerts are free, with an option for voluntary donations to help pay the musicians. MITG has received a United Cultural Fund grant from Broome County Arts Council for it's community concerts. We now have corporate and business sponsors, as we continue to grow. MITG seeks out creative and original artists who may find it more challenging to perform at local venues that tend to seek out cover bands. You can visit the website, or scan the QR code in image file, to see the artists who will perform this season. This post lists Saturday afternoon shows. There are also weekly shows on Tuesday evenings starting at 6 pm.

Come one, come all to the Frog and Toad Jumping Contests! Feisty frogs and terrific toads will compete in these fun-filled, family-friendly events. All ages are welcome, including adults! Come to compete, or cheer on your favorite contestant. All frogs and toads MUST be collected at the park on the day of the event and must be released at the site of capture when finished competing. You may NOT bring a frog/toad from home or any other location.
If you have a net and container, be sure to bring these along as we have limited containers available.
Three sessions will be held at Nathaniel Cole Park on Friday 8/8. The first hour of each session we will use our nets and containers to catch our frogs, and the last half hour of the session will be the contest.
Registrations are highly encouraged but walk-ins will be welcome at the parks. All participants under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Please register all members of your group separately.
